To finally achieve my dream.

Nora Roberts, Anne Rice, Katy Evans to name a few
What genre do you class your books?
Erotic Romance maybe some comedy

Can you give us an insight into your one of your characters?
Tessa… is what I like to think of as a beautiful soul. She is not your typical skinny, blonde hair, blue eyed character. Is always willing to go above and beyond to help friends, but sets her wants and desires aside for those that she loves. She will laugh at herself to hide her feelings. Tessa is normal.
What is special about this character?
She struggles with self-esteem, something I think most women have a hard time with.
Are you working on anything at the minute?
What’s it about? (If you are currently working on something)
Two people who have nothing to lose, but love and fight for each other. I know sounds so blah.
Is this book is part of a series? If so can you tell us a little about it?
I think it will be part of a series, I am still undecided about that.If you haven’t written a series before, what are your thoughts on writing one

How much research do you do?

As much as I can.
Have you written any other novels in collaboration with other writers?
If not, who would you most like to write with?
I honestly do not know, it is so hard to decide.
Do you write full-time or part-time?
When I can. I still have a full time job.
Do you have a particular time when you write?
Where do your ideas come from?
Music mostly. I will hear a song on the radio and the scene will play out in my head. Real life experiences.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer to just see where an idea takes you?
I have an idea where I want the story to go, but here lately the characters have been showing me the way.
Do you have any funny stories from when you were researching a storyline?
No 😦
How do you think you’ve evolved creatively?
I think so. When I first began writing short stories my sister would steal my writing notebook. She would mark it up highlighting my errors and making suggestions. I think by her doing that made me look a little closer to what and how I was writing.
What is the hardest thing you find about writing?
I tend to jump all over the place. So I have a folder with a ton of documents for one story.
What is the easiest thing about writing?
Coming up with ideas for a scene.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
I have been writing this one for roughly 3 months now.
Do you ever suffer from writer’s Block?
Yes, sadly.
Any tips on how to get through writer’s block?
Hop in the car and go to the beach or downtown.
Do you read much and if so who are your favourite authors.
When I can I enjoy reading, but I do not want to miss out on all of life’s experiences either. I am learning to balance my time here lately. Right now I enjoy Katy Evans, Tara Sivec and Scott Hildrith.
Do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hard back books?
E-books. On the rare occasion I do enjoy curling up on the couch with a pillow and blanket and paperback book.
Are you reading any books at present? If so which ones?
I am currently reading ‘In Love with a Master’ by Jason Luke.
Do you proofread/edit all your own books or do you get someone to do that for you?
My sister proofs/edits my work.
Who edited your book and how did you select him/her?
My sister is my editor.
Do you think that the cover plays an important part in someone buying your book?
I would have to say yes.
How do you publish your books?
(Indie, traditional or both)
What would you say are advantages and disadvantages of self-publishing against being published?
I am still researching it and talking with other authors for their opinions.
What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews?
I think that both are necessary, truthfully you cannot please everyone all the time.
What are your views on social media for marketing?
I think it’s a wonderful marketing tool. Fastest word of mouth advertising.
Which social network works best for you?
I am still working my way around Facebook. I am an old MySpace 🙂 Recently I discovered Google+ and I have started my very first blog.
Any tips on what to do and what not to do?
The only tip I have is write from the heart and write what makes you happy.
What do you think of “trailers” for books?
I have watched a couple of book “trailers” and I was not impressed.

Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
I believe it has its advantages especially with social media.
Did you format your own books?
I attempt to.
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
It is all about the research.

A bit more about you!!
